The Yakovlev Yak-1 was the main fighter of the Soviet Airforce during World War II. It was also used by the United States, and Britain during the time of World War II. It first flew on January, of 1940, and was taken out of service in 1950, when it was replaced by jet-powered aircraft.
The Yak-1 comes with a 20 mm cannon that fires default 20 mm rounds, high explosive rounds, and armor penetrating rounds. Its explosives consist of only of air to ground guided missiles that are designed to take out anti-aircraft guns and fast moving ground targets. Lastly, it comes with a bomb that can be dropped rapidly, and when upgraded, it causes a bigger boom, and more destruction.
The Yak-1 comes with a radar, a booster, and a weapons reload system timing decrease by default, but the default equipment can be upgraded, or be swapped out for better equipment.
The Yak-1's performance is similar to any other Tier 4 plane, it is tied with the Typhoon to have the best turn rate in its tier, but the third highest top speed. Its weapons do barely any damage when stock, but after a few upgrades, the Yak-1 becomes a highly efficient killing machine.
